The podium and class reports
Ending a class isn't just a fade to black. The TV closes every open session, calculates final effort points, calories and personal records, and stages an Olympic-style podium for the top three — gold, silver and bronze, with the winner tallest in the centre. Afterwards, every class lives on in History: room-level leaderboards and a personal report for each member who trained.
What you'll do
End a class and read the podium, then find any past class in History and open its leaderboards and per-member reports.
You'll need: a studio TV that has run at least one class with live heart-rate sessions.
Steps
-
End the class from any wall with END CLASS. The results are computed server-side — effort points, calories, average and peak heart rate, and personal-record flags — so the podium matches what members see in their own app.
-
Watch the podium build: the top three by effort points enter one by one under a TOP OF THE ROOM banner, each with their photo, points, giant rank numeral, and a NEW PR badge if they set a personal record tonight.
-
Read the footer for the room: the class average heart rate and how many members trained. If walk-in guests trained, a call-out names them with their unclaimed effort points and a sign-up prompt — the points attach to their account when they join.
-
Let it dismiss. The podium holds for 30 seconds — long enough for phones to come out — then returns to the Hub on its own, reminding members their full breakdown is on their phone.
-
For past classes, open History from the Hub. Group training history lists every class newest-first with its MEMBERS, TRAINING TIME, AVG BPM and calorie totals.

Group training history: past classes with headline metrics -
Select a class for its report: headline metrics on top, then two ranked leaderboards — Avg Heart Rate and Calories Burned — with gold, silver and bronze placings and member photos.
-
Select a member on the report for their personal breakdown: a TIME / AVG BPM / MAX BPM / CALORIES strip, a time-in-zone bar chart across the five zones, and their real-time heart-rate line over the zone bands.
What you should see
A 30-second celebration the room actually watches, then a Hub ready for the next class — and in History, every past class with leaderboards you can pull up when someone claims they definitely beat their rival on Tuesday.
If something goes wrong
- Someone who trained isn't on the podium — their strap never broadcast, so they have no session. Check their strap link before the next class (see the strap chapter).
- History says no past classes yet — classes only appear after they end with at least one heart-rate session closed. Run a class to completion and it shows up.
- A class shows "No HR sessions recorded for this class." — the class ran without any straps on air; there's nothing to rank.
- The podium was skipped — if the TV lost its connection at close, it still ends the class with locally computed results; the authoritative numbers appear in History once the connection returns.
