Copy setup to a new location
Opening branch number two shouldn't mean retyping branch number one. The copy-setup screen takes any sister location in your organization as a template and copies its catalog, membership plans and session packs into the new branch — leaving out everything that is genuinely site-specific.
What you'll do
While signed into the new location, pick a template branch, choose which payloads to copy, decide whether prices come along, and run the copy.
You'll need: to be the owner of the target gym, with both locations in the same organization, and to be switched into the new (target) location first.
Steps
-
Switch to the new location using the location pill in the app bar — the copy always lands in the location you're currently in.
-
Open Settings → Member operations and tap Copy setup from another location.
-
Under the copy-from list, pick the template branch. The location you're in is excluded — you can't copy a gym onto itself.
-
Under the what-to-copy switches, choose any combination of Retail products & categories (stock starts at 0 here), Membership plans (durations, tiers, access windows and kiosk settings) and Session packs (PT and class bundles).
-
Set the Copy prices switch. On: the template's prices are converted into this location's currency — the dropdown shows each template's currency, and a red banner warns when it differs from yours. Same-currency prices copy as-is; USD-anchored plans keep their USD anchor if this location accepts USD; anything with no exchange rate set up here lands at 0 and is counted in the result so you can price it by hand. Off: everything lands at zero, forcing the new branch to set local prices before anything can sell.
-
Leave Refresh prices of items already here off for a first copy. Turn it on when you are re-running the copy to correct prices — for example after a copy made from the wrong template — and same-named products, plans and packs that already exist here take the template's price. Items that differ by name are never touched.
-
Tap Copy setup and wait for the Setup copied dialog — it reports counts per payload, for example 14 products across 3 new categories, 6 plans, 2 packs.
-
Walk the new location's plans and products and adjust anything local — prices if you zeroed them, names, availability.
What you should see
The new location selling the same catalog and plans as the template — or the same catalog at zero prices awaiting local pricing. Re-running later tops up anything the template gained since.
If something goes wrong
- No locations in the source list — the new gym isn't in the organization yet, or there is only one location. Add the branch under Settings → Locations first.
- The copy is refused — you must be the owner of the target gym, and both gyms must be in the same organization.
- Prices are all zero — the Copy prices switch was off, or the template is in a currency this location has no rate for (the result dialog says how many items could not be converted). Add the rate under Settings → Currencies and re-run with Refresh prices on, or price by hand.
- I copied from the wrong location and the prices are nonsense — re-run from the right template with Copy prices and Refresh prices of items already here both on; every same-named item is corrected in one go.
- An item didn't copy on re-run — an item with that name already exists at the target. Rename or edit the local one; the copy never overwrites.
